Netherlands

The Netherlands has a modest but distinctive instant-noodle market shaped heavily by Dutch-Indonesian history. Indomie is one of the most widely distributed instant-noodle brands in Dutch supermarkets — a legacy of the post-colonial Indonesian diaspora that has made Mi Goreng a mainstream Dutch pantry item rather than a specialty ethnic product.

Unilever's Conimex brand (based in Baarn) produces a domestically-manufactured Indonesian-inspired instant-noodle line, and Maggi, Knorr, and Nissin all have distribution through the major Dutch chains (Albert Heijn, Jumbo). Suriname-origin Surimax is a small but culturally meaningful brand.

Surinamese bami-style noodles and Indonesian bakmi goreng are both well-represented — a flavour profile shared with few other European markets.
