Paldo

Paldo is a Korean instant-noodle maker best known for pioneering brothless and cold formats in a category otherwise dominated by hot soup. Bibim Men, launched in the 1980s, is one of Korea's original instant brothless noodles — a cold sweet-spicy mix designed for summer eating and widely credited with opening a new sub-category in Korean ramyun.

The range extends across Ilpoom Jjajangmen (a thick, glossy black-bean sauce noodle), Bulnak (spicy stir-fry squid), King Noodle bowls and cups, Namja Ramyun (ultra-spicy soup), and Rabokki — a hybrid noodle-and-tteok (rice-cake) format that brings a street-food dish into the instant category. The Fun & Yum snack-pack format targets children and casual convenience-store snacking.

Paldo's edge is in adapting Korean restaurant dishes into instant form: jjajangmyeon, tteokbokki, and brothless stir-fry preparations that don't fit the classic hot-soup template. The brand is widely available across Korean markets and specialty Asian grocers globally, and its unusual formats make it a frequent point of entry for non-Korean consumers exploring the category.
