JML

JML — Jinmailang Food Co., Ltd. (今麥郎) — is one of China's largest instant-noodle producers, founded in 1994 in Xingtai, Hebei Province. The Chinese name breaks down as Jin (powerful), Mai (wheat), and Lang (young man) — evoking the image of a vigorous farmer raising wheat, matched to a logo that shows exactly that.

The brand's first product, HuaLong Pack Noodle (1994, a traditional beef flavour), established its domestic foothold. JML has since expanded across pack, bowl, and cup formats, with signature lines including the JinMaiLang Artificial Pork Flavor classic, Artificial Stew Pork, Chicken & Mushroom cup noodles, and Wide-Cut Noodles (宽面). A distinguishing operational choice is vertical integration: JML runs a complete supply chain from wheat farming and palm-oil refining through to the finished noodle, unusual in a category that typically outsources raw materials.

JML is the leading enterprise in China's noodle industry and exports to more than 40 countries. In 2018 the company publicly positioned a new product range as "second-generation instant noodles" — a higher-end, cleaner-label line differentiated from the flash-fried mass-market segment the brand itself helped build.
