Itomen Co., Ltd. (イトメン) is a Japanese noodle manufacturer based in Hyōgo Prefecture's Harima (Banshū) region — a district historically referred to in the industry as "the sacred land of noodles" (めんの聖地) for its combination of soft water, high-quality local wheat, and centuries-old hand-stretching traditions. The company positions itself as a specialist producer, with its corporate tagline the unusually direct "Happiness Creation Company" (幸せ創造企業).
Itomen's flagship instant-noodle product is Chanpon Men (チャンポンめん), launched in 1963 and now approaching its 60-year anniversary as an uninterrupted-production ultra-long-seller — a Nagasaki-style seafood-and-pork broth with springy wheat noodles. The Kakui brand is an even older heritage line (75+ years), still marketing dried somen, soba, and udon from the Harima region. Curry Ramen, Menryu ("Noodle Dragon") hand-stretched premium noodles, and the regional Hyogo Banshū Ramen — built on 100% concentrated soy sauce from local Banshū breweries — complete the core range.
The catalogue spans instant bag noodles, instant cup noodles, dried somen, dried soba, dried udon, and hand-stretched premium noodles — unusually broad for a single manufacturer. Itomen is less visible internationally than the Osaka- or Tokyo-based majors, but is a staple presence in Japanese supermarkets and a recognised specialty import in Japanese groceries abroad.
